Cylindro-conical tank (Fermenter)

A CCT (cylindrical-conical tank) is a vertical cylindrical tank with a conical bottom, where the angle of the cone is of great importance. At the bottom of the cone there is a drainage valve for dumping the spent yeast and cleaning solutions. CCTs are the most versatile units among all types of fermentation tanks used in brewing.

Our CCT is designed for internal pressure and can be used both for the primary fermentation and for the maturation (carbonization) of beer and the supply of finished beer for filtration. The working pressure inside the CCT is up to 1.5 atm (adjustable with a fermentation bung).

The CCT has a cooling jacket over the entire height of the cylindrical part and a cooling jacket for the cone (for a CCT with a volume of 1000 liters or more). CCT are warmed by polyurethane foam 8-10 cm thick. The external covering of CCT is made of food stainless steel (mirror polished steel).

CCT equipped with:

1. top or side (at the choice of the client) the inspection sealed hatch;
2. a small hatch for a yeast (option for a side hatch);
3. fermentation bung;
4. fittings for connecting CIP-station and carbon dioxide baloon;
5. rotary washing ball;
6. bottom valve for draining yeast sediment and washing liquid;
7. tap for supply wort and beer drain;
8. sampling valve;
9. beer temperature sensor;
10. automatic valve (Italy) coolant supply.

Washing of the CCT inside takes place in the automatic closed mode through rotary washing ball using a stationary or mobile CIP-station.
